A blob sitting comfortably in coffee mug.
A blob in a mug of ughs.
I do declare saying Ugh a million times a day is my coping mechanism for everything. That and sitting in coffee!
I just like drawing the same things. It’s also a coping mechanism.

Although the rain has subsided this morning, it’s the perfect time of morning where it’s still damp, cloudy and….you guessed it PUDDLES. Puddles in my coffee? Not a problem.
Oh wait, I hear the rain coming back.
It’s just time for me to get out and take some photos. I do have some errands to run today so I better get to it!
I need some rain boots.

Floating in the clouds, this coffee is. To wake you up slowly on a chilly Saturday morn.
As I sat silently watching the sun rise, I noticed just how precious and fleeting life is. I wondered why I worry about anything. In a few months, in a year from now, all the things that bothered me will have been washed away in memories. And I’ll laugh or smile and see I was just growing a little bit more each day. To reach the Pinnacle of wisdom that usually transpires when you grow.

Just journal doodling on this cold and rainy day …what better doodles than doodles in your journal? Just coffee, cookies and tree in the background..it’s not that great, but sketches are sketches and it could end up something later on if I felt like it. But I’ll go onto something else I presume. …

Holidays are in full swing and you’ve got to keep your wits by drawing orcs and making your friends, co-workers and customers laugh.

I really dig the idea of the half head in the coffee cup. Sort of half awake, half there, the idea of being a little there but not really. Wanting to be seen, but also wanting to be unseen. Wanting to be visible, but also invisible. Wanting to get to know others, but also want to be safe and secure in my bubble ( of coffee) away from everyone. Does everyone battle these polarities?
I wonder when I’ll finally make them complete.

Balancing life with more coffee please.
If I knew how to write a haiku I would write one about Saturday, birds and coffee.
Saturday coffee
Birds chirp their ceremony
A song ripe with love
That’s the best I can do in a moment’s notice.
But I doodled the Saturday and bird already:

Even my cat Ralph is enjoying the songs of the birds this morning. Of course he’s plotting murder, I know it.

Coffee and Cheese before work. Bad combination? We’re about to find out. Happy Cheese though!
Happy stomach? Hmmm..

Late night coffee drinking.
And late night soul music. Lifting my spirits. I think back on days when I was a kid and my dad and uncle would jam out to music on Friday nights. And we would dance. I felt that tonight again, just a bit carefree. My own kids staring at me and wondering what’s wrong with this lady.
I guess the next doodle will be self portrait of lady dancing to soul music.
Enjoy your evening!

Coffee and yoga this early morning hour. Daily life is the inspiration for this doodler.
The light in me honors the light in my coffee cup I suppose that’s what that means!
