Heron power! In my coffee! I’m going to need it tonight.
I need to work on my herons…
Incoming dancin’ herons too…

’cause he’s got a lust for life!
I may have had too much coffee.

On my latest walkin’ wander about I spotted a great heron on the creek! Yes, these are the majestic birds I encountered flying above me one early morning, and we’re probably what I thought were cranes, and thus my crane energy/spirits were foiled. But not really, because these birds are just as majestic and beautiful. I almost missed it! I had circled back and spotted it on my way back! They’re so much larger than I thought because he got annoyed at me and flew up into a tree and then further down the creek. The wing span is massive!

I’m not sure you can see him but he’s hiding in a tree and then I spotted him further down the creek. I left him alone after that because he was busy trying to get him a meal, so I didn’t want to interfere!
And here are some puddles for your puddlin’ entertainment.

Happy walkin’ wandering abouts! I can’t wait to see what you’ll find in your nearest creek beds. Hmmm…?? is that a challenge?

And here’s just a quick doodle of the great heron. For GREAT HERON POWER! Maybe I am becoming the weird HERON birdo after all! It’s time to get back on the weirdo birdo obsession again.
Nature has transformed since the dreary, solemn winter photos that I took in January/February. Of chilly puddles and barren trees? You must remember I posted 5,000 photos of the stuff. It’s quite a sight to witness nature’s seasons. We are so accustomed to the changes we may not really notice it. But on these walkabouts there is always something changing. Even the same fungi have changed! EVEN I HAVE CHANGED. It’s all a part of the seasons of life, even we must take part in them. We all must learn change.

Just look at all the light! and the green

DRAGONFLIES! and more green!

Okay, that’s enough for now. I’ll post some more dragonflies and the great blue heron I caught down at the creek. But for another day perhaps.
May flies in quickly!
And with it more blobs, transforming into beams of light.

Here is May’s playlist, a bit more playful as the school year winds down, summer is almost here, and it’s just…my birthday month! so yeah, I’m fortunate to have revolved around the sun. I remain hopeful. In dark times such as these, we have to remain hopeful. We have to find the light inside us all and to be a source of light for others!
…so I try in my little small quiet ways
…I hope you try too.

A blob sitting comfortably in coffee mug.
A blob in a mug of ughs.
I do declare saying Ugh a million times a day is my coping mechanism for everything. That and sitting in coffee!
I just like drawing the same things. It’s also a coping mechanism.
Hi, Pierre

On multiple occasions I’ve caught a raccoon climbing out of a tree to steal baguettes out of the dumpster. Sometimes full, sometimes half loaves of baguettes. I’m almost convinced someone is purposely leaving them for him! So we named him Pierre, he has exquisite taste. As all French do…I’m going to leave him a glass of bourdeux next time.

Blobby talking about music!

Oh my, Blobby! read, read, and read some more!
I’m using my son’s Posca markers that he insist he have. I must say I love their paint like quality. I must get more (for myself). And this was just a random writing in my journal that I thought would be cool if Blobby was saying this. And absorbing and expanding with all the information! (And imagination). More to come I think!! Well, of course more blobs to come, they’re really all I draw…
Also it’s Avril 14th so I found a favorite without realizing, oh yeah it’s April 14th! time to play this song by Aphex Twin!

If you’re new to the blog then you probably haven’t seen a half head yet. They’re basically the quiet, unassuming mushiest person but for some reason have the tendency to hide because of their feelings, because their being is so strong. And you wouldn’t really know this by their blank expression. But these blobs, may or may not have expression though. I see a little bit. So maybe they’re different, or maybe they’re just coming out of their shells. However they’re all different so it’s hard to say where all this is going! Probably no where and I’ll forget about drawing blobs in a couple of days or two ..
Or maybe I’m just really not that original and all my characters look like blobs. Probably the latter…ugh…
Even if it’s not
