I almost wrote sad sadwich person, then I wrote just sad sandwich and muffin. Oh well

For Illustration Friday’s word, Tree. I am working with digital drawing, and I’m still perfecting and learning and just really trying to get the hang of it. Frustrating it is…but I’m hoping that I can get better at it. All I need is practice, just as I need practice drawing too. And hoping I don’t get discouraged in the process and give up. I still feel more comfortable with my pencils and my pens and my colored pencils…ahh, but I need to explore new mediums and get out of my comfort zone!!
I still want to recreate this using my pens and pencils. I probably will. But I want to someday make code mush t-shirts with digital designs. And also make digital images for a website. Then of course, work on making those monthly magazines I used to make in high school, but with a more professional look. I have to get more professional, but also keep my style and of course be happy with my work.
I cannot stress how I get soooo discouraged sometimes!!

You are probably used to seeing a gnome in a garden or guarding the front porch steps, or just lying somewhere collecting dust in a garage. But… not this gnome. No…this gnome sits on top of the toilet…happily daydreaming in the corner. I never even noticed the damn gnome until the other day when I heard this:
“Courtesy flush please”
He’s not a tree spirit. He’s not a cutesy piece of kitsch in your garden. Nope. He’s the spirit of the toilet seat. I don’t think this will be the last we’ll hear from the gnome.

Oh the fun rides you could have if you owned a WHIZZER! But I don’t…and you don’t, unless…you do?
I drew this for Isaac because he’s been wanting to put a motor on a bike, and these are about the coolest things, and are pretty much the idea of what he wants. Well, really he’d love a motorcycle. Something to go with his fiercely independent wild side! Oh wait, he is always fiercely independent.
I’ve been thinking of a mildly independent little moped myself, because I’m not that fierce and I’m not that wild. Oh what a pair though, I think he’d leave me behind in the dust! Hah.

I didn’t know what to make for dinner tonight really…I just got home from work and the only thing I bought from the store was a coconut meringue pie. Since I’ve been writing posts about “Cake…it’s what’s for dinner…” I’d like to add another delicious dessert to the main course: PIE!
And I wanted to do something super extra nice for my sweetheart since he’s working about a 13 hour shift today, why not? It would be super extra nice if it were from scratch! Hah! I’m not crafty with pies, I just can’t get a good crust going…I should perfect something like that huh? Eh, I’m still trying to perfect my artsy fartsy craft craftiness! I need to get into gear with that one.
Also, another drawing that just comes from my day to day life, creativity stems from life!
” Howdy!” –Bahama Mama Llama
Yes, this is an attempt to draw a llama. She was actually a llama I met and took a photo with. (an embarrassing photo…but, eh, I’ll post it for ya!). Do I know whether she was female or not?? …No, but she had a matriarchal quality about her. Plus, she looked full and pregnant to me. I really don’t know, she could have just been so full of food that people throw at her. I know that she was eyeballing my bag of feed that I had! But anyway, we’re going to assume she is a mama and her name is Bahama Mama Llama cause she’s quite the cool and sassy type! Her hair just cried for a brushing and a shaving, but you could tell she was just wild and carefree, like a bahama mama would be.
My pen was running out of ink and I’m too lazy to go out and buy a new one. Just to let you know, this won’t be the last time you see or hear from Bahama Mama Llama!! or…Bahama Llama Mama…both sound pretty good to me.
